Meet the designer of Lanvin:
ALBER ELBAZ
In 2001 he joined aboard to recreate the vision and success that Jeanne Lanvin dreamed of when she founded the label in 1889. Lanvin is the oldest French fashion house still in operation today. From shoes to handbags in both womenswear and menswear, Lanvin is known best for it's great detail in beading and trimmings. You can shop for Lanvin at Barney's New York, Bergdoff Goodman , Neiman Marcus, or Nordstrom, but with that being said the pricing is expensive. Skirts start at $900, dresses at $1,500, and coats at $1,800. Lets not get over our heads, the construction of these delicate and detailed garments may be worth it for those who can appreciate and afford it.
However, on November 20th, 2010 Lanvin and H&M will be featuring a new collection more affordable and cost efficient. Can you say "Hallelejuah!???" How much more stylish and trendy can one be at the prices that H&M offers? Move out of the way Forever 21 and Zara your too fancy for me, I'm getting more bang for my bucks at H&M thanks to Lanvin!!!
Go pay a visit and tell me what you think or better yet send me pictures of you modeling your store purchases at chermiaamour@gmail.com
