When I was in college my friend Allison first introduced me to this film called, Factory Girl. I had never heard anything about this film before, so I had no idea what to expect. The minute I first saw the movie, my eyes were literally glued to the television screen. I recommend this film especially if your a lover of true stories like myself.
Meet Edie Sedgewick a young, beautiful, and wealthy socialite, who moved to New York in the 1960's to upstart her career in the art world. With a dysfunctional and abusive childhood behind her, she is naively ready to move forward and make friends with an upcoming artist by the name of Andy Warhol, who is now famous for his artistry. He was infatuated with her and later promises to make her a star.At the time that they met, they were both hungry for fame. Indeed, the success of his art work takes off and Edie is the center of all attention. Yet, as she embarks on this rollercoaster ride of success, she hits a few bumps. Complications between her love interest and closest friend begins to blow up, and she finds herself spiraling downward into an arena of depression and drugs.
I give this film five stars!!! Please share with me your reviews, after you go check it out...?
